Dakuya, 14 Weeks Old,
Returns to Denise’s to Play with Emma & Michonne

Dakuya returned to Denise’s house for another playdate with Emma (an 18-month-old Sheltie), Hayden (an 11-year-old Sheltie), Gus (an elderly Cockapoo) and Michonne (a Corgi puppy the same age as Dakuya), whom Denise was again keeping for the day.

I had a meeting on Saturday so we couldn’t get to Denise’s until about 3:30, which meant good light for photography soon faded.  Plus, it was cold from the snow, so we only stayed about 30 minutes.  We returned at midday on Sunday and had another wild play session. Watch for snow spraying everywhere as the dogs played and played, and ran and ran. 

They had great tug battles with stuffed “goose” and “pheasant” toys.  They played keep-away and “stalk and pounce.”  In other words, they had a blast!

At the end, look at the series of 7 photos in which Dakuya and Emma are in perfect sync.  I couldn’t believe I caught that series of the two running in step!

After that, the puppies (Dakuya & Michonne, the Corgi), as puppies do, eventually tired of the toys and had fun digging up clumps of grass at the base of one tree – and then playing keep away with various grass clumps and sticks.  Denise was NOT happy about the lawn destruction, but it made for great photos! They look SO innocent, don’t they?
