Zeal Snow Play

Zeal is built differently and moves differently than any GSD I’ve had. She’s usually quite graceful, except when she’s using her nose. Then she seems to forget where her legs are. I caught a bunch of photos of her in that non-graceful stage, as she was searching for her ball. What I didn’t get, and probably never will unless someone comes to photograph as I throw the ball, were the kangaroo leaps she makes as I throw the ball and she’s trying to follow its passage through the air. I got a lot of search photos because she kept taking off before I threw the Chuck-It and didn’t see where the ball went. A few times I had to go out and show her the general area to search. She’d find it and race me back to my chair and wait for me to get there to throw it again. A couple of times the ball bounced into the puppy obstacle run I have gates at each end so the big dogs can access the run when a ball goes in there. I got some good photos of her trying to figure out to turn away from the ball in order to get to it – and then proudly exiting the run to bring me the ball.
