Spirit Celebrates her 300th Therapy Dog Visit

I have had several therapy dogs reach 200 visits, but Spirit is the first of mine to reach 300!  That’s quite an accomplishment since I usually have 5 or 6 certified therapy dogs at any time, and they take turns visiting.  Plus, my girls miss a lot of potential visits due to either being in heat, pregnant or raising litters.  So I’m VERY proud of my sweet, gentle Spirit for reaching this landmark.

We celebrated at Westview.  The residents had all signed a beautiful card for her. 

Most had gathered in the activity room to greet us, so we got some great photos.  You can see how much Spirit enjoys being a therapy dog!

The young woman and her mentor who accompany us on many of our visits surprised us by making beautiful stand-ups of Spirit for all the residents (1st photo), and a big one for me (2nd photo).  The 3rd photo shows the picture in detail.  What a beautiful gift!
