Valentine’s Day Reading Dog 2025
Tongue River Elementary School, February 9th
I have three therapy dogs who do Reading Dog at Tongue River Elementary on Monday mornings: Lovely Hopeful and Pascha. It happened to be Hopeful’s turn this week. I try to take photos when the dogs are wearing holiday costumes.
Photos 1-11: Two sets of kinderboosters (three- and four-year=olds who will be in kindergarten next year). They don’t read yet, so they cuddle with the therapy dog while I read to them.
Photos 12-19: I think she is in 3rd grade.
Photos 20-24: The wild first-graders, plus a new one (on the right) who thought the other two were weird.
Holy Name School, February 12th
Hopeful is the only one who does Reading Dog with the HNS kindergarteners. Four kids read to her each Thursday morning. I took photos of three of them with Hopeful.
