JUSTICE’s 3rd Nosework Training Session
at Craftco Metalworks’ storage yard
9-1-24
Justice was at his dorkiest and highest-drama on September 1st. Denise got some fantastic photos of him arguing with me that it was unfair that the hide wasn’t accessible, or trying to bite hides that were accessible (or the posts they were hidden in). There are several multi-photo series showing him taking forever to do a correct indication. I edited his photos out of order because we had seen that Denise got some good photos and I wanted to use some in this week’s letter that I write to a bunch of nursing home residents who love funny stories about my dogs.
Denise also got a nice series of my start-line routine of putting on the harness as a signal it is time for serious work (goofy Justice particularly needs a go-to-work routine). In this his 4th training session this summer (the first one on August 10th wasn’t photographed), he was MUCH more focused and less easily distracted, and the photos show it. I was very proud of him. We may survive our October nosework trial after all.
