VV litter Temperament Test Results
Mr. Blue (now “Dancer”) went to a friend in Spokane who has his sister, Pilot, from the OO litter. He, too, will compete in all kinds of venues. Miss Green (now Solo) went to southern Utah for Search and Rescue. Miss Purple (now “Veda”) went to South Dakota as a service dog.
I kept Miss Pink for breeding and competition. Her call name is “Varoom!!” When the pups finally hit the ground and were healthy, I mentioned in an email that I had been afraid to jinx things by working on possible names. Several friends sent some great names, including Pat, who sent “Varoom!!” Her registered name is “Celhaus Victory Against All Odds.”

Leidy (Celhaus Odina Leidy) at 4 years 3 months
Name story: Odina is Native American for mountain; Leidy is a mountain of which Tammy has particularly fond memories.
“Leidy is doing well. Here she is enjoying the snow.”
Veda (Celhaus Vivacious) at 3 years 5 months
Veda was placed as a Medical Alert Service Dog on 11/17/23.
Veda at 3 years 2 months
“Veda is doing okay, never more than a few feet from me. I have learned she loves to swim. She loves road trips and her big “sister” Whiskey. She LOVES hiking! We have been all over the mountains, desert and the Black Hills of South Dakota. She is doing amazing with her service work! This fall we were hiking in the woods and she somehow managed to shatter a knuckle in one of her hind toes. So we have battling with being quiet! V is 1000% my dog. Where I go, she goes. V, Whiskey and I drove to Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Idaho, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota this summer and fall. V also flew to Arizona and impressed everyone on the flight. They even gave her a certificate and pilot wings honoring her first flight!! Thank you so very much for entrusting me with her. She has been such a HUGE blessing.”
Pilot (Celhaus Olabisi Isolde CGC TKN TD) at 5 years 5 months and Dancer (Celhaus Vespasian Isildur Sundancer BH) at 3 years 3 months
2/14/25 (no photos): “You ate definitely much colder than us. With the wind it’s been in the negatives and way too many days not above the 20s. So not much practice with the IPG. We are meeting every week to practice nosework. Dancer is not allowed with the boxes anymore. He must hit every one and tries to destroy the scent box. He is hilarious but is awesome with interior and vehicle searches. Pilot is just good with it all. That’s been our winter.”
Dancer (Celhaus Vespasian Isildur Sundancer BH) at 2 years 10 months
Name Story: Isildur means devoted to the moon and is a word from Tolkien.
“We’re still doing IPG (Schutzhund). Dancer passed his OB1, which is the obedience part of the IPG1, no tracking or protection. His heeling wasn’t great (acted like he never did that before), but the rest was really nice so we had enough points to pass. Our protection helper who comes once a month said he really likes Dancer.”
Dancer at 2 years 7 months
6/3/24: “Dancer and I have joined a K9 group and we have been working pretty hard. I’m excited to say that we passed our BH yesterday. Next stop, hopefully, IPG1!!! He is soo good at this stuff. It was very exciting. The judge was talking to my instructor during the test and said he really liked this dog. He said it a couple of times. He read off the critique and we got a lot of excellent scores. Dancer’s long down, the sit, the recall, the heeling off leash. I was very proud of our big boy!!”
Photo 1: “Our BH certificate”
Photos 2-5: ““Photos from the BH. Dancer is an awesome little boy. Since we passed the BH, we started on protection work. He is very enthusiastic but he has to learn to bite and stay there. The first run at the helper, he hit and slid off. Never did that again!!!”
Pilot (Celhaus Olabisi Isolde CGC TKN TD) at 5 years 4 months
Name story: Olabisi is Egyptian, meaning brings joy; Isolde is Gaelic, meaning brat)
“Not a very nice day.”
Pilot at 4 years 9 months
“Latest gorgeous photo!”
Finley (Celhaus Onyx) at 5 years 7 months through 6 years
“As promised, here are a few photos of Fin-bear from the past couple months! I tried to get one of him with each of our kiddos. He’s such a sucker for belly rubs…the photo of him lying on his back next to Carter was definitely Fin begging Carter for a belly rub. There’s another photo of him covered up in a small blanket…that was my daughter Owen, who likes to tuck Finley into bed, before she goes to bed at night. We sure love our bear.”
Solo (Celhaus Venture Solo) at 2 years 7months
Solo is training for Search & Rescue. Their house burned down shortly after they got Shiloh. They are rebuilding it
“I’ve attached a few pics of Solo on recent hikes! She is a gem! We started back up training HRD and tracking. Slow going as we still have quite a few projects lingering on the house. She is doing well with the training and looking forward to certification.”
Titus (Celhaus Octavius Titus CGC) at 4 years 3 months
Titus got an OFA Excellent hip rating!!! Congratulations! He passed all his other health screenings (OFA elbows, OFA cardiac, OFA eyes, OFA thyroid, and is also free of vonWillebrand’s/hemophilia). He has the following SAR certifications through Tri-State K9 Search & Rescue: Wilderness Live Find Area, Cadaver 1 and Cadaver 2. He also has his AKC Canine Good Citizen title.
Lovely was bred to Titus. The XX litter was whelped July 11th, 2022.
Name story: Octavius, was the family masculine name is Gaius Octavius, who became known as Cesar Augustus of Rome the name means Magnificent or Majestic. He was known as a great tactician, philosopher, and statesman who brought Rome out of Civil war following the death of Julius Cesar and into a golden age for the empire know as the Pax Romana (Roman Peace). Since we learned that trying to call any two dogs with an O name is just bringing them both to us we liked Titus who was another Roman Emperor and his name means depending on culture, pleasing, saved, of the giants (He has big paws). We felt a call name of Titus sounds nothing like Oakley and matches his personality he loves to please and work hard with a smile on his face.
12/1/22: Photos 1-3: “Titus recertified in Cadaver 1 this past weekend.”
Photo 4: “”This final photo was taken a couple of months ago before it got really cold outside.”

9/23/20: “I just wanted to update you on Titus. He has completed his CGC, Tri-State 40 Acre, and this past weekend he completed his Tri-State 120 acre live find certification and his Cadaver 1 certifications making him and Angela the newest mission-ready Wilderness Search & Rescue team with Great Basin K9 Search and Rescue! I am so proud of those two, and thankful for you bringing Titus into our lives!”
