2024 Fall Holiday Photos
The fun holiday photos are coming in, so I have created a page for them. I put new ones at the top of the page. Enjoy!!!
Christmas
Hildy from the SS litter
“Finally! A few good Christmas photos of Hildy! Santa was good to her, as usual. This was her third plush gator, and judging by her fondness of it, it won’t be her last. The green stick is not as popular. It is quite a challenge to take unblurred photos of energetic animals.”
Jazz from the UU litter
Jax from the TT litter
Credo (NN litter)
Photos 1-2: Credo turned 7 on December 17th, so his mom sent combination photos. “Credo got a bully stick and a donut cookie for his birthday!”
Photo 4: “Here he is sharing the tree with his “brothers.”
Kellan from the TT litter
Bridger from the LL litter
“Bridger and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”
Finley from the OO litter
“Here’s another photo to add to your Christmas photo album. Fin had to watch Gannett, Owen and Carter get their photos taken. So when it was his turn, he was so excited he didn’t get left out!”
Marshal from the UU litter
Raptor from the ZZ litter
“Oh, my. Pretty funny face if you zoom in.”
Charis (JJ litter) celebrated his 9th birthday on December 20th, so his mom sent a combination photo.
Here is Spirit with the Holy Name School kindergarteners on 12/12/24. They were thrilled when she came in dressed as a present.
And here is Spirit with the kids who participate in Reading Dog at Tongue River Elementary School in Ranchester. We go there on Mondays and are there for 2 hours, so I take 2 therapy dogs and each does an hour of listening. Three of my dogs do Reading Dog (Spirit, Lovely & Hopeful). Today (12/16/24) happened to be Spirit’s and Lovely’s turn to go to TRE. When we arrived, our usual place in the teachers’ workroom was being used for the “Christmas store” where the kids can buy gifts for their family members, so they had us set up in the lobby. A colorful blanket defines the place for my dog and the kids choose where they want to sit, usually on bean bags. The staff carried one bean bag and one box of books to our new location and placed us near the Christmas tree. Then they decided to take photos, which made me super happy. We had a couple of regular readers whose teachers forgot to send them, but in our more- exposed place we had a couple of other kids come by and ask to pet the dog and have their picture taken. It was a fun morning.
Here is Lovely with “her” kids
and here is Lovely during the presentation I gave on December 11th about how animals help our mental health. The bow fell off the costume as we entered the room, darn it!
See my notes from that presentation AND more photos of Lovely.
Stetson (SS litter) with Santa
Kaia (TT litter)
“This is what you get when you put a black dog in front of the Christmas tree!”
Christmas and Halloween
Maya (QQ litter) at Christmas
Maya at Halloween
Photos 1-2: “The teachers dressed up as ‘Super Hero Teachers’ for school, then Jennifer dressed Maya up in her costume.”
Photos 3-4: “Remember Jack Nicholson in the 1980 Stephen King movie, ‘The Shining?'”
Thanksgiving
Jax (TT litter) took his job as “Official Turkey Tester” very seriously.
I found a great turkey costume for my dogs to wear to Reading Dog at the schools and to the nursing homes. The only photo we got was of Spirit with the Holy Name School kindergarteners.

Someone sent me this photo and I love it. I’m sure it’s fabricated. I know I could never get my crew to resist a turkey tug-time while I took photos.
Halloween
Malachi (PP litter) dressed up as the Grim Reaper.
Marshal (UU litter) posed in front of some decorations.
Credo (NN litter) didn’t get a new costume this year, but his mom sent photos of an earlier one that I just loved. He was the cop, while his brother (a rescue) was the robber.
I got a Jack-o-Lantern costume this year.
Here is Spirit with the Holy Name School kindergarteners (no one is taking photos at the other school, or the nursing homes.)
We got called to provide therapy dog visits to the crews fighting the wildfire. Since it happened to be close to Halloween, my dogs wore costumes.
Hopeful wore the Jack-o-Lantern costume.
Justice wore last year’s dragon costume. He was a great hit as I assured the firefighters that he wouldn’t breathe fire anywhere.
